Meta rolls out an AI Mode search tab on Facebook that answers questions using public posts instead of links

by | Jun 15, 2026 | Latest E-commerce News & Updates

Meta introduced a set of AI features on Facebook led by AI Mode, a search tab powered by its Muse Spark model that answers questions using what people post publicly in places like Groups and Reels rather than returning a list of links. The update also adds AI creative tools, including camera-roll collage and video-montage suggestions that stay opt-in, plus photo presets that let users restyle clothing, hair, and accessories or virtually wear a team jersey. The push extends Meta AI deeper into Facebook’s core surfaces as Meta competes with Google and OpenAI on AI-driven discovery, though tech outlets have flagged that grounding answers in everyday user posts rather than vetted sources raises accuracy questions.
