Walmart posts first e-commerce profit as high-income shoppers drive sales

Walmart reported its first full year of e-commerce profitability as it gained significant market share from households earning over $100,000. The retail giant saw online sales jump nearly 25% to top $150 billion even as Amazon dethroned it as the world’s largest company by revenue. Executives credited the “Sparky” AI assistant for increasing transaction totals while the firm is expanding its fashion assortment to retain wealthier customers.
