VCs pour money into AI customer support startups Intercom and Kore.ai

by | Jun 13, 2025 | E-commerce News

Investors are aggressively backing AI-driven customer support companies, with Intercom in talks to sell over $100 million in shares at a valuation above $2 billion and Kore.ai seeking to raise about $150 million at a valuation between $2.5 billion and $4 billion. Both firms are posting strong revenue growth, with Intercom’s AI agent Fin projected to surpass $100 million in ARR and Kore.ai targeting $200 million ARR by next year. High gross margins and outcome-based pricing are helping these companies compete against major players like Salesforce, Microsoft, and Zendesk, as demand for AI-powered customer support continues to surge.
