TotalEnergies signs 1 GW solar deal to power Google data centers in Texas

TotalEnergies signed two long-term Power Purchase Agreements to supply 1 gigawatt of solar capacity to Google’s data centers in Texas. The company is developing new solar farms at its Wichita and Mustang Creek sites to generate electricity over a 15-year term. This deal complements an additional 1.2 GW agreement secured by its affiliate Clearway as the tech giant is securing renewable energy for its AI infrastructure.
