TikTok tests an AI intro tool in its Live composer that tells drop-in viewers who the host is and what the stream covers

TikTok is testing an AI intro tool in its Live composer that writes a short summary of who the host is and what the broadcast covers, which creators can put in front of viewers before going live, according to app researcher Radu Oncescu. The text comes from a single button press, and it’s aimed at people who drop into a stream partway through with no caption or thumbnail telling them what they’re watching. TikTok hasn’t confirmed the test or said what the summaries pull from, whether that’s profile information, past posts, stream metadata, or a creator prompt, and it hasn’t addressed how accurate they are.
