TikTok partners with Vistar Media to expand Out of Phone ad campaigns to over 1M digital out-of-home placements

TikTok announced a new partnership with Vistar Media that will let advertisers extend their TikTok campaigns to more than 1.1M additional high-traffic placements beyond the app, including ad space in New York's Times Square and other prominent digital out-of-home locations. The partnership is an expansion of TikTok's Out of Phone ad extension option, which the company launched in October 2023 with an initial focus on billboards, cinemas, and restaurants before expanding to shopping malls, in-flight promotions, and water refilling stations. TikTok said in a statement to Social Media Today that “instead of repurposing TikTok content for billboards, Out of Phone campaigns are being reworked for the physical environment, from format and creative to how they show up across different markets.”
