Square opens Managerbot AI business agent to broader group of sellers in open beta inside Square Dashboard

Square has opened Managerbot, an AI business agent built into Square Dashboard, to a broader group of sellers in open beta, expanding access beyond an earlier test group that included multi-location restaurant operators. The tool monitors sales and labor in real time, tracks inventory against sales velocity, drafts staff schedules, surfaces marketing campaign opportunities, and flags catalog issues like missing photos or duplicate tax rates, with every action requiring seller approval before it executes. Square Global Head of Product Willem Ave said in the release that “we want every small business owner to have the kind of operational intelligence that used to take an entire back-office team,” and the product is currently available at no additional cost to most non-franchise food & beverage, retail, and health & beauty U.S. sellers.
