Sona raises $45M Series B to bring AI-powered workforce management to frontline industries

by | Apr 1, 2026 | E-commerce News

Sona, an AI platform that handles scheduling, HR, payroll, and business intelligence for frontline businesses in sectors like hospitality, retail, and logistics, raised $45M in a Series B led by N47, with participation from existing investors Felicis, Northzone, Gradient, and Italian Founders Fund, bringing its total funding to over $100M. The funding will accelerate Sona's U.S. expansion and fast-track a decade's worth of planned platform capabilities, including its newly launched Forge tool that lets businesses build custom AI applications on top of their operational data. Current customers include Popeyes and Tao Group; the raise comes as frontline workforce software, long dominated by legacy tools built 20 years ago, faces growing disruption from AI-native platforms, according to Sona CEO Steffen Wulff Petersen.
