Shopify's own Horizon theme grew faster than any other last quarter, moving from 7.4% to 8.6% of storefronts between Q1 and Q2 2026, according to Shopify Theme Detector's scans of more than 3.5 million stores. The 1.2 point gain is four times larger than the next best, with Minimog OS 2.0 and Refresh each adding 0.3 points to reach 2.9% and 1.7%. Broadcast and Sense gave up the most ground, both shedding 0.3 points to finish at 2.3% and 1.4%, while Focal, Craft, Enterprise, Spotlight, and Expanse each dropped 0.2 points. Everything else moved by a tenth of a point or less in either direction. Shopify Theme Detector counts share as the share of scanned stores running a theme, taken from live storefront detection and deduplicated by domain.
