Salesforce lets AI agents in Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor run its commerce and sales workflows from outside Salesforce itself

by | Aug 23, 2026 | Latest E-commerce News & Updates

Salesforce expanded Headless 360, the layer that turns its applications into capabilities an AI agent can call from outside Salesforce. Agents running in Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can now discover and invoke those capabilities in real time, inheriting the permissions and governance a customer already set rather than working through a Salesforce screen. Headless Commerce extends the same arrangement to storefronts, handing developer agents the commerce tools so a sales workflow can run inside an AI buying experience. Salesforce keeps the data, the permissions, and the business logic underneath, and the interface moves to whichever assistant the customer is already using.
