Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a post on X that the company is hiring 1,000 new grads and interns to build its Agentforce and Headless360 agentic AI platforms, pushing back on predictions that AI will obliterate entry-level white-collar work. The hiring push reverses February job cuts at Salesforce of fewer than 1,000 roles, including positions tied to Agentforce, and comes as the company's stock is down over 31% from a year ago. A National Association of Colleges and Employers report found employers plan to increase hiring by 5.6% for the class of 2026, with just 11.4% planning to decrease hiring and under 16% of those citing AI as the reason.
