Perplexity signs $750M cloud deal with Microsoft

Perplexity signed a three-year, $750 million agreement to use Microsoft’s Azure cloud services. The deal allows the company to deploy AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI via Microsoft’s Foundry platform. The startup confirmed that Amazon Web Services remains its preferred infrastructure provider despite ongoing legal tensions between the two firms over e-commerce features.
