ORA Technologies, a Moroccan super app combining food delivery, digital payments, and e-commerce, raised another $2M from local investors, extending its Series A to $10M. Fresh capital will grow KOUL, its food-delivery arm, and ORA Cash, its digital wallet for tap-to-pay and online purchases, while building out last-mile delivery and cash-collection infrastructure. Moroccan investors financed the entire $10M round, among the biggest early-stage rounds ever backed solely by domestic capital in Morocco and a rarity for African startups that usually rely on foreign venture capital, with founder Omar Alami having launched ORA in 2023. ORA runs an integrated platform linking consumers, merchants, and delivery services in one app, echoing Asia’s super-app playbook, and plans to deepen its Moroccan network before weighing regional expansion.
