OpenAI is displaying World Cup prediction-market odds from Kalshi in ChatGPT search results, its first partnership with a prediction market, according to The New York Times. Queries about a match show win probabilities attributed to Kalshi, such as France’s 60% chance against Spain, though OpenAI says users cannot bet through ChatGPT and the data is informational and limited to 2026 World Cup questions. Kalshi is pushing to embed its data widely to draw users, after earlier deals with CNN and CNBC, while rival Polymarket struck a similar Dow Jones tie-up and Google and Meta build their own prediction-market integrations. Prediction markets are drawing regulatory scrutiny, with a federal agency investigating Polymarket over questions about whether it operates within the law.
