OpenAI expands ChatGPT ads platform with CPC bidding and self-serve Ads Manager in beta for U.S. advertisers

OpenAI expanded its ChatGPT ads platform with a cost-per-click bidding option and a self-service Ads Manager in beta that allows advertisers in the U.S. to sign up and purchase ads directly. The expansion follows the platform's first phase, when advertisers bought ChatGPT ads on a CPM basis to gauge demand, delivery, and early performance, and now adds CPC bidding to help advertisers align spend more directly with the actions people take after seeing an ad. OpenAI is collaborating with Dentsu, Omnicom, Publicis, and WPP as agency partners, plus Adobe, Criteo, Kargo, Pacvue, and StackAdapt as technology partners. The company also introduced Conversions API and pixel-based measurement to help advertisers track actions taken after ad engagement, including purchases, leads, and sign-ups, while protecting user privacy through aggregated performance insights.
