Meta Superintelligence Labs, the AI division led by Alexandr Wang following Meta’s $14B investment in Scale AI, released its first model, Muse Spark, featuring a “contemplating mode” that orchestrates multiple agents simultaneously, improved health responses developed with 1,000 physicians, and a shopping feature that converts creator and brand content across Meta’s platforms into product recommendations. Wang said on X that his team rebuilt Meta’s AI stack from scratch over nine months, including new infrastructure, architecture, and data pipelines, and that more models are coming, some of which will be open-source. Meta’s stock jumped 8% on the announcement, and a third-party safety evaluation by Apollo Research found Muse Spark had “the highest rate of evaluation awareness of models they have observed.”
