Meta is planning to test a new AI pendant next spring as the centerpiece of an ambitious wearables roadmap aimed at turning around heavy losses at its Reality Labs division, according to an internal memo reviewed by The Information. The memo from VP of wearables Alex Himel doesn't reveal the pendant's specs, though it could include a camera. The roadmap also covers an expanded smart glasses lineup powered by Meta's latest AI model Muse Spark, a consumer AI agent called Hatch, and a new “Wearables for Work” service targeting commercial customers. Meta is targeting 10 million wearable sales in the second half of 2026.
