Meta faces a class action claiming its “Ends today” AI glasses emails broke Washington law because the $224 sale kept running

Meta is facing a proposed class action claiming its “Ends today” and “Last-chance” promotional emails for AI glasses advertised deadlines that never arrived, in violation of Washington’s Commercial Electronic Mail Act and Consumer Protection Act. Michael Camilleri sued after receiving a May 25 email titled “Ends today: AI glasses from $224” that offered up to 25% off. The complaint says that two weeks later Meta’s site was still selling the glasses from $224, including pairs marked 25% off a $299 regular price, and that an audit by Camilleri’s lawyers found the price available for all 33 days they checked. Camilleri is seeking to represent Washington residents who got Meta’s time-limited sale emails and is asking for $100 in statutory damages per email.
