Lovable pulls Meta ads that showed a designer’s hand-coded, award-winning custom car website as something built with its AI

Lovable pulled Instagram ads that presented the Forge Automotive website as something made with its AI builder, once Joe Ben Taylor, the designer behind the site, called them out on LinkedIn. Taylor wrote that he designed and coded the award-winning site by hand over two months, and that his only AI use was ImagineArt for some images and Claude for QA and performance work. He asked Lovable to explain how the ads got approved and asked his network to recommend a solicitor who handles IP and copyright disputes. Lovable apologized in a comment on his post, saying it had stopped running the ad everywhere and was looking into how it happened.
