Google rolled out its Gemini in Chrome feature to seven new markets including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam, with desktop and iOS availability in all markets except Japan. The sidebar-based assistant lets users ask questions across tabs, connect to Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, and Maps for personalized responses, draft and send emails, and transform images using Nano Banana 2. Gemini in Chrome launched in the U.S. in January, expanded to India, Canada, and New Zealand in March, with the company's agentic browser control feature still limited to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
