Genesys, a cloud customer-experience and contact-center software company, acquired Pinkfish, an agentic AI workflow-automation startup, for undisclosed terms. Pinkfish adds MCP-based tool integration to Genesys Cloud, bringing more than 500 integrations and 25,000 MCP tools reaching into CRM, ERP, billing, and order-management systems, so Genesys’s AI agents can pull data and take actions across enterprise software. Genesys aims to let its Cloud Agentic Virtual Agent resolve complex requests end-to-end, such as verifying a delayed order, issuing a credit, upgrading shipping, and notifying the customer without a human handoff, with Pinkfish features due in its marketplace by late July and natively later this fiscal year.
