Flipkart nearly doubled its number of active sellers over the past 15 months and now has around 1.4 million sellers on its marketplace, according to Udisha Srivastav at Business Standard. Sakait Chaudhary, Flipkart’s head of softlines, grocery and marketplace, credited the zero-commission model it introduced in November 2025, which started with a ₹1,000 price cap and now covers every fashion product. Chaudhary said many sellers pass the savings on to shoppers or use them to list more products, and Flipkart says the number of unique SKUs that actually sell rose 33% from a year earlier. Amazon India still has more sellers, saying it added 300,000 to pass 2 million.
