eBay announced that starting May 13, U.S. buyers who win auctions will no longer see a cancel order button, with the platform telling sellers that “all auction sales are final” and that it will support them in declining any cancellation requests buyers make directly. Sellers will also receive protection from negative feedback if they decline a cancellation, with the ability to request its removal through Seller Help within 90 days. Seller reaction has been mostly positive, though some worry the policy will simply push buyers to file claims instead.
