eBay's listing form has begun displaying a message telling sellers they can add up to 40 photos and a one-minute video, as spotted by Liz Morton of Value Added Resource. However, sellers attempting to upload more than 24 images are still hitting the existing limit and receiving an error message, and eBay's official help page still lists 24 as the maximum. Several sellers have reported inconsistent behavior, with some seeing the 40-photo message in new drafts but reverting to the 24-photo cap when returning to existing drafts. eBay previously raised the photo limit from 12 to 24 in 2022, and has not officially announced the change or provided a timeline for when the expanded limit would fully take effect.
eBay is testing an expansion of its listing photo limit from 24 to 40 images, though the rollout is incomplete
