Costco Sued for Hiding Shipping Costs in Product Prices

by | Jun 18, 2025 | E-commerce News

A new class action lawsuit accuses Costco of misleading online shoppers by advertising “free shipping” while embedding delivery costs into product prices. Plaintiff Christina Zaimi claims she paid $250 more for a sofa online than in-store, despite a $0.00 shipping label, which she says violates consumer protection laws. The case could have implications across the e-commerce industry, where many retailers advertise free shipping but quietly inflate prices to cover delivery fees.
