Anthropic is close to finalizing a $15B pre-IPO credit facility led by Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Citigroup

Anthropic is close to finalizing a $15B revolving credit facility ahead of the public filing for its IPO, well above the roughly $10B target it set earlier, according to Bloomberg sources. Morgan Stanley is running the process, with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Citigroup also in prominent roles, and those same four banks are leading the IPO. Barclays and Wells Fargo are expected to land significant positions on the credit line too, though the terms could still change. Companies usually lock in the revolver before they tell banks their formal roles on a listing, and a larger commitment earns larger fees, which typically buys a better spot on the equity deal that follows. Anthropic wants an offering at least the size of SpaceX’s record $86.2B debut.
