Anthropic appointed Eric Boyd, who spent more than a decade as president of Microsoft's Azure AI Platform, as its new Head of Infrastructure, where he will focus on building and scaling Anthropic's AI systems for both research and product development. The hire comes as Anthropic executes a $50B data center buildout with initial facilities planned for Texas and New York, while simultaneously expanding its compute partnership with Google to secure multiple gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity expected to come online in 2027. Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate has surpassed $30B, up more than 3x from $9B at the end of 2025 and ahead of OpenAI's estimated $25B run rate.
