Anthropic added plugins from Shopify, Stripe, and Zoom to Claude for Small Business, the tool it launched in May to handle tasks like reconciling a company’s QuickBooks books, according to Stephen Council at Business Insider. Anthropic says the tool has been installed 900,000 times, and last week in New York and San Francisco it trained its first group of “Approved Claude SMB Trainers,” each of whom agrees to host five small-business workshops by year-end. Its head of US small and medium businesses, Lina Ochman, said most owners she met at earlier workshops were still just chatting with AI rather than letting it automate their work, and many worried about accuracy and security.
