Amazon's Prime Air drone delivery has sparked protests in Richardson, Texas, where residents say the 80-pound drones crossing over their homes and a nearby school have turned the sky into a “drone highway.” Neighbors cite constant noise, flights they estimate at barely 100 feet, and drones passing every few minutes, and say they got little warning before the program launched. The city council approved it last year, and one drone crashed in February, which Amazon blamed on GPS interference near a large building, after which it dropped similar structures from its delivery zone.
