Amazon is recalling 112,932 bottles of its Amazon Basic Care Extra Strength acetaminophen 500mg caplets after customers complained the pills were discolored. Aurobindo Pharma USA, which makes the caplets in India, started the voluntary recall on September 18, and it covers 200-, 500- and 1,000-count bottles. The FDA hasn’t said what caused the color change or flagged any health risk, and no injuries have been reported. Aurobindo pulled a different batch of Amazon-branded acetaminophen, 325mg tablets, over the same problem last year.
