Amazon plans to raise at least $25B through an eight-part bond sale to help fund its AI infrastructure buildout, according to CNBC and Bloomberg. Underwriters have been told this is Amazon's final debt issuance of 2026, following roughly $54B in bonds earlier this year, $10B in Canada in June, and $15B last November. Proceeds will support general corporate purposes as Amazon pushes capital expenditures to a projected $200B this year, up from $131B in 2025, with most going to data centers and chips. Amazon's raise follows similar debt and stock offerings from Nvidia, Oracle, Alphabet, and Meta, all funding aggressive AI infrastructure spending that CEO Andy Jassy calls a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.'
