Amazon plans to spend more than €16 billion across Germany next year, which it announced at the German government’s Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin. The largest piece Amazon has named is €4.8 billion to expand its AWS cloud and AI region in Frankfurt, and the rest covers its Amazon Leo satellite internet network, warehouse upgrades and new fulfillment centers, and more than 15 Prime Video productions in the country through 2027. Since 2010, Amazon has put more than €100 billion into Germany, where it now employs over 40,000 permanent staff.
