Amazon lets shoppers ask Alexa for Shopping whether an email, text, or call claiming to come from the company is genuine

Amazon added a check to Alexa for Shopping that tells customers whether a given email, text, or phone call really came from Amazon. The assistant compares what the customer received against Amazon’s record of every message it has sent, and it also reads the contents, the formatting, and the sender, confirming a message as real only when it is completely certain. When the assistant can’t verify something, it tells the customer to open the Amazon app to check their orders and to contact support directly. Amazon released a related tool earlier in 2026 letting customers forward suspect messages to verify@amazon.com.
