Amazon expanded its new generative AI assistant, Alexa+, to web browsers at alexa.com to compete directly with ChatGPT and Google Gemini. The service, previously available on mobile, retains conversation context across devices like Echo and Fire TV and handles tasks ranging from event planning to shopping on Amazon. Tech Times reported that the update aims to leverage the “warm, genuine” familiarity of the original Alexa brand while integrating advanced natural language capabilities.
