Amazon initiated test flights for its Prime Air drone delivery service in Darlington ahead of a planned commercial rollout later this year. The technology giant conducted a limited number of operations using its MK30 aircraft which was designed to deliver packages under five pounds within two hours. Management stated the drones utilized machine learning to detect obstacles and ensure safety during the trials.
