Amazon allegedly told warehouse workers to keep working as a coworker received CPR on the floor, hiding the death for hours

A worker died at Amazon's distribution center in Troutdale, Oregon on April 6, and according to an investigation by The Western Edge, managers instructed employees to turn away and return to work while a coworker performed CPR on the man, with one supervisor telling staff “just turn around and not look, let's get back to work.” Supervisors reportedly kept the information that someone had died from most employees for several hours, sending workers home at the end of a 3:45 pm break without a full shift's pay, with many unaware a death had occurred. Amazon did not respond to The Western Edge's request for comment, and a cause of death has not yet been identified.
