Chatsi, a Salt Lake City startup that builds AI sales agents for online stores, secured a $2.5 million seed commitment led by Jonathan Ord, who co-founded the car dealer CRM DealerSocket. Ord will pay the money out in tranches rather than all at once. Chatsi was founded in 2024 by CEO Ken Garff, who previously sold the product information platform Amplifi.io to Pattern in 2021. Chatsi’s agents answer shopper questions, compare products, and tell buyers whether a part will work with what they already own, which matters most for brands with technical specs or large catalogs. Chatsi sells to B2C, DTC, and B2B merchants in categories like powersports, automotive aftermarket, electronics, jewelry, and fashion.
