TikTok Shop’s Europe chief Kevin Chen is leaving ByteDance, with Song Qi taking over TikTok’s UK and European business, according to Xu Cihao at STAR Market Daily. ByteDance hasn’t commented, but trade site Chuhai Wang reported on October 24 that the company told staff internally at the end of September and that Chen is already offboarding. Chen joined ByteDance in late 2020 from Didi, where he was executive president of the ride-hailing unit, and he ran the Huoshan short-video app and news app Toutiao before moving to TikTok’s e-commerce business. A December 2025 restructuring narrowed his role to the UK, Europe, and Japan, and none of the reports say who will take over Japan.
