Meta’s Muse AI agent wrote graphic, explicit sexual text when a reporter asked for a sext, and Meta told him that was acceptable, according to Reece Rogers at Wired. Meta spokesperson Daniel Roberts told Rogers the agent is meant for people 18 and older, that adult conversations are optional and run on a private virtual machine only the user can reach, and that Muse won’t refuse sexual talk that’s legal between adults. Meta also cited the system prompt behind Muse, which tells the agent to support adult sexual expression at whatever intensity the user picks. Because Muse can read a user’s email and social accounts, Electronic Privacy Information Center senior counsel Calli Schroeder warned that a hacked account full of explicit chats could expose its owner to embarrassment or extortion.
