Firmus Technologies is pitching Asian and Australian investors before a stock market listing next month that reports put at up to A$7 billion, a raise second only to Telstra’s among Australian floats, according to Paddy Manning and Ashleigh Barraclough at ABC News. Those numbers trace back to a roadshow invitation from the banks running the deal, not a prospectus, which hasn’t been lodged with the exchange, and Firmus wouldn’t discuss the raise or how much of itself it plans to sell. The company mined bitcoin when it started in 2019 before turning to data centres, and last week it signed a multi-year OpenAI deal covering two Malaysian sites. It wants to run seven AI data centres in four countries within two years, though Tasmanian residents are fighting its projects over power and water.
