Perplexity has put Personal Computer, its agent that runs locally and acts on a machine’s own files and apps, onto Windows three months after the Mac release, where it builds documents, updates spreadsheets, and handles other desktop chores on a user’s behalf. Perplexity had already wired the tool into Microsoft 365 and Teams back in May, and its pitch for the Windows version is that the enterprise work it targets happens on local machines sitting outside AI’s reach. Access opened today for Max and Enterprise Max subscribers, tiers starting at $200 a month, and Perplexity says it doesn’t train on customer data and that the agent checks with users before it sends e-mail or deletes anything.
