ZetaDisplay acquires retailmediatools to build an integrated, retailer-owned retail media stack spanning signage and ad serving

ZetaDisplay, a digital signage solutions provider, acquired retailmediatools, a Berlin-based retail media infrastructure-as-a-service platform, for undisclosed terms. retailmediatools’ API-first, modular platform pairs with ZetaDisplay’s signage to give retailers an integrated, retailer-owned retail media stack spanning ad serving, campaign management, first-party audience building, and in-store execution. Both companies pitch the combination as bridging online advertising with physical in-store execution, a gap many retailers have struggled to close, while letting them keep control of their data and advertiser relationships. retailmediatools, founded in 2021 and serving European retailers like Finland’s SOK and drugstore chain Rossmann, will keep its brand and product roadmap.
