Bryan McCann, co-founder and CTO of You.com, an AI startup that helps businesses analyze documents and create reports, recently left the company to join Anthropic as a member of technical staff. Saahil Jain, one of You.com's early engineering hires, has been promoted to CTO as the company shifts its focus from consumer search to enterprise customers, putting it in more direct competition with OpenAI and Databricks. CEO and co-founder Richard Socher, a former chief scientist at Salesforce, told The Information last November that he was also aiming to raise around $1B for a separate AI research startup he plans to oversee while remaining as You.com's CEO.
