Whering, a London-based app that lets users digitize and manage their wardrobes, raised $7M in seed funding led by eBay Ventures and Google's AI Futures Fund. eBay's interest ties to its resale business, which benefits from keeping clothing in circulation longer, given Whering's data on what people own and actually wear. Google's fund backs AI styling features Whering is rolling out, including outfit suggestions based on mood, weather, or occasion, plus virtual try-on and image-enhancement tools. Whering says it tops 10 million mostly Gen Z users, and cites self-reported figures claiming most buy fewer, better items after using the app.
