TikTok says that the Department of Justice’s claims about it being linked to China are overblown

TikTok says that the DOJ has got it wrong when it comes to its association with China and is currently trying to fight the ‘sell or divest' law that was introduced in the US in April. ByteDance recently told a federal appeals court that the DOJ has gone overboard with its claims and asked the court to overturn the law. The court will hold arguments on Sep 16th, putting the TikTok issue into the final weeks of the upcoming Presidential election.
