Sherri Hill, Inc., a designer of prom, pageant, and formal gowns, has filed a federal lawsuit in the Southern District of New York against Medon, Inc., SheIsMe, Inc., and related individuals and entities that operate the KissProm.com and SheIsMe.com websites. The complaint alleges defendants used copyrighted Sherri Hill photographs and design elements without authorization in advertising and selling formal dresses on e-commerce platforms, with certain images allegedly altered and displayed without permission, and asserts claims including copyright infringement and removal or alteration of copyright management information. Sherri Hill is seeking injunctive relief, damages, and other remedies, and the defendants have not yet responded to the complaint filed as 1:26-CV-02642-LAK.
