Samsung Electronics is deploying ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to all of its employees in Korea and all Device eXperience division staff worldwide, in what OpenAI calls one of its largest enterprise rollouts to date. Samsung plans to use the tools across software development, marketing, product development, and manufacturing, with Codex extending beyond coding to let non-technical teams turn ideas into working software, internal tools, and automated workflows. The deal expands an existing relationship between the two companies, which already collaborate on the advanced memory semiconductors OpenAI needs for AI infrastructure, now stretching into company-wide workforce transformation. OpenAI notes Codex weekly active users in Korea have grown nearly 800% since February, with other Korean firms including LG Electronics, Krafton, and Toss also adopting its enterprise tools.
