Meta expanded its new Reels personalization controls to all Instagram users in the U.S., allowing people to review and adjust the interests the algorithm assigns to them. Users can now remove categories they don’t want to see and add ones the system is missing, giving them a way to correct unwanted recommendations that arise from brief or accidental viewing patterns. Meta leaders say the “your algorithm” tool is meant to offer a more controllable experience by combining user input with AI, with plans to roll it out to English-speaking markets outside the U.S. in the future.
