Klarna lowered its 2026 outlook on Tuesday, cutting expected gross merchandise volume to between $149B and $151B from a prior forecast above $155B. The company pointed to softer discretionary retail spending in Germany, which is its biggest market by volume, along with a $600M hit from currency moves, and CFO Niclas Neglén told analysts the guidance assumes German demand won’t recover this year. Klarna also said Neglén and CMO David Sandström will both depart in the first months of next year, and it wants a finance chief based in New York to start in 2027. Second-quarter revenue rose 27% to $1.04B, and Klarna swung to $9M in net income from a $53M loss a year earlier. The stock dropped about 20% Tuesday, extending a 46% slide this year.
