Google News has begun prominently featuring Polymarket prediction market bets alongside traditional news articles, appearing in personalized “For you” feeds, on the Google News homepage, and in search results, with Polymarket now selectable as a source in Google News search while rival Kalshi is not. The development appears tied to a November deal in which Google announced a partnership with both Polymarket and Kalshi to feed prediction data into its finance platform, though Google did not respond to questions about the connection. Critics have raised concerns about Polymarket's credibility, pointing to a January incident in which an anonymous user pocketed more than $400,000 betting on Venezuela's president being ousted hours before U.S. troops abducted him, and a March decision by Polymarket to quietly remove a bet on whether a nuclear weapon would be detonated before year's end.
